A recipe for a flavourful portfolio made with love
The best recipes include the finest ingredients one can find, are cooked with care, and are tasted and refined over time. To create Jermainewill.ca I aimed to make a portfolio that was well organized, filled with great content, easy to view on any device, full of flavour, and included my own taste, personality, and professional journey. This is how I made this portfolio from start to finish.
¼ Cup of Typography
Urbanist
Urbanist is a low-contrast, geometric sans-serif inspired by Modernist typography and design. The project was launched by Corey Hu in 2020 with 9 weights and accompanying italics. Conceived from elementary shapes, Urbanist’s neutrality makes it a versatile display font for print and digital mediums. It is currently available as a variable font with a weight axis.
Inter
Inter started out in late 2016 as an experiment to build a perfectly pixel-fitting font at a specific small size (11px.) The idea was that by crafting a font in a particular way, with a particular coordinate system (Units Per EM), and for a particular target rasterization size (11), it would be possible to get the best of both sharpness and readability.
A Splash of Colour
Pair ingredients together to create a blend that complements the sweet lavender and lilac notes.
½ Cup of Content Strategy
108 Cups of High Caffiene Tea
